Actionable raises $10m to predict, customer by customer, who will leave, complain or buy again, and why

Co-founded by former executives of Criteo and Innovorder, the company maps the journeys of 117 million consumers for Carrefour, French state railway SNCF, utility Engie and employee-benefits group Edenred. At OUIGO, SNCF’s low-cost rail brand, the first campaign driven by its predictions was enough to cover the cost of the platform within weeks. The round is led by Hi inov, alongside existing investor Axeleo Capital.

PARIS, 9 September 2026 — Actionable has raised $10 million to tell large enterprises which of their customers are about to leave, complain or buy again. One customer at a time, and with the reason attached. The round is led by Hi inov, alongside pre-seed investor Axeleo Capital, which is increasing its stake. The company is two years old and already works with sixteen enterprise clients, among them Carrefour, SNCF, Edenred and Engie.

Satisfaction surveys only see the 3 to 5% of customers who answer. Predictive marketing tools only read transactions and CRM data. Actionable’s approach is to work on 100% of the base and on the entire purchase journey, operational data included: every customer gets a score for churn, satisfaction, serious-complaint risk and repeat purchase, with the cause attached.

At Carrefour, for example, the engine identified the breaking point: past 6 minutes 12 seconds of waiting at the click-and-collect point, NPS, the customer recommendation score, drops. The threshold is not an industry benchmark, it comes out of the retailer’s own data, which the company then turns into a measurable standard, tracked nationally, regionally and store by store.

The output is an action, not a report. At OUIGO (SNCF Voyageurs), Actionable predicts satisfaction passenger by passenger, which allows the company to send a goodwill gesture to travellers likely to be dissatisfied before they complain: within weeks, the incremental revenue generated had covered the cost of the platform.

At Carrefour, those same individual predictions decide which customers receive which CRM campaign, for a 7x incremental return on investment. At Engie, the platform detects serious complaints before they escalate, and customer service steps in first.

Prediction de satisfaction NPS (Net Promoter Score)

Actionable was founded in April 2024 on an observation shared by its two co-founders and co-CEOs, Nicolas Rieul and Nans Thomas. Rieul, after several general management roles at Criteo and a term as chair of Alliance Digitale, the French digital industry association, kept seeing the same NPS and churn programmes in every large French enterprise, with no one able to act on them. Thomas, former CPO at Innovorder and founder of Wino, a technology platform for local retailers, had the product experience to answer it.

“For fifteen years I sat in the same Monday morning meeting: a dashboard says satisfaction or revenue is down two points, everyone around the table looks for an explanation, and nobody can say which customers to call the next day or what to decide right now. The measurement existed. The granularity a decision needs did not. That is the layer we built,” said Nicolas Rieul, co-founder and co-CEO of Actionable.

The data problem has to be solved first. The client sends its raw tabular data and Actionable automatically reconstructs the customer journey inside a Common Customer Data Model specific to its industry, covering transactions, operations, CRM and web analytics, for retail, financial services, insurance, transport, energy, telecoms and automotive. The model carries the operational reality of each business: waiting times, loyalty cards, pricing and order-preparation software in retail, load factors and delays in transport, delivery times in e-commerce. Work that normally takes months of data engineering takes a few days.

“Putting an LLM on top of a data warehouse is not enough: without business context, an AI reads raw tables very badly. The hard part is turning hundreds of tables and in-house definitions into a customer model a machine can use without getting it wrong. That is what we spent two years building, industry by industry,” said Nans Thomas, co-founder and co-CEO.

By unifying customer data, documenting it and enriching it with its business context, Actionable provides the infrastructure the AI agents about to reshape CRM, customer service and customer insight need in order to work. That is the difference between an agent that guesses and an agent that decides. Its clients already use Actionable Intelligence, an agent that works as a data analyst on that model and produces in a few hours analyses that would take a human analyst weeks.

The funding will finance hiring in product, engineering and sales, and international development through a network of reseller partners and through the build-out of the US market.

“Value is moving from collecting data to intelligence. Enterprises still pay heavily to store and to measure data, when what is missing is the layer that explains and proposes a plan of action, for teams and for AI systems alike. Actionable owns that layer on customer data, and that is an asset no enterprise outsources,” said Valérie Gombart, co-founder and CEO of Hi inov.
