Oximy, a Y Combinator-backed platform for AI governance and value measurement, today announced the appointment of Mark Sunday, Greg Morrison, Patti Degnan and Adam Messinger to its Advisory Council.
The council will advise Oximy on product direction and enterprise adoption, helping the company address how organizations govern AI, protect sensitive information and evaluate their AI investments.
The advisors are:
– Mark Sunday, who served as CIO of Oracle for 13 years, leading the company’s global IT and security organization and supporting its worldwide operations and customer services.
– Greg Morrison, former SVP and Corporate CIO of Cox Enterprises, where he spent 18 years overseeing technology strategy, IT systems and cybersecurity.
– Patti Degnan, CISO/CIO of Glow and former CISO/CIO of Notion, where she scaled Security, IT and Trust from a one-person security function to a 60-person organization as Notion grew to more than 100 million users and 1,300 employees.
– Adam Messinger, former CTO of Twitter, where he led engineering, product development and design. Previously, he led Oracle’s Java and Exalogic teams.
“As CIO at Oracle, I saw firsthand how difficult it can be to understand how technology is being used across an enterprise, whether it’s delivering the expected value, and how to govern it effectively,” said Mark Sunday, Oximy advisor. “Oximy is going after a problem every CIO needs to understand. If I were sitting in the CIO seat today, I’d want to take a very close look.”
“CIOs are being asked to explain their AI investments to CEOs and boards, and that responsibility is difficult to delegate,” said Greg Morrison, Oximy advisor. “Oximy is focused on a real issue for those leaders, and I’m pleased to be working with the team as an advisor.”
“Enterprise leaders need to decide which AI tools, workflows and agents to approve, where to invest and when to intervene,” said Naman Ambavi, founder and CEO of Oximy. “Our advisors have led technology and security inside large organizations. Their experience will help us stay focused on what matters to customers: making AI useful, protecting the business and understanding its value.”
