Constructor Launches Agentic Checkout, Powered by Stripe—Letting Shoppers Go From Product Discovery to Purchase Within a Single AI Agent Experience

New Agentic Checkout eliminates a key point of friction in AI-powered shopping, helping retailers keep shoppers engaged and reducing distractions on the path to purchase

SAN FRANCISCO — October 5, 2026 — Constructor, the product discovery platform for the agentic era, today announced Agentic Checkout, which integrates Stripe, to enable shoppers to both find and buy products within a single agent conversation and interface.

Now, with Agentic Checkout, shoppers on retail sites and apps can discover products, ask questions, get personalized recommendations, and refine their choices—then securely check out and pay, all without leaving the agent experience. This new functionality is available globally, with Constructor the first to offer Stripe-powered checkout directly within an onsite shopping agent. Shoppers can pay via the Link by Stripe digital wallet or other payment methods.

Advancing the Agentic Shopping Experience

More and more shoppers are trying and embracing agentic commerce—with four in 10 having used agentic shopping tools—but these tools have largely focused on helping shoppers discover products, forcing people back into a traditional and disconnected online shopping flow to purchase what they found. Agentic Checkout removes that friction and helps retailers create a single, connected discovery and checkout experience, encouraging shoppers to complete their purchases while they’re most excited and least distracted.

Personalized Shopping + Checkout Together

Constructor helps shoppers find the right thing; Stripe helps them buy it.

Constructor’s award-winning suite of AI agents brings personalized, conversational assistance to retail sites and mobile apps. Powered by Constructor’s Commerce Reasoning Engine, the agents learn from each shopper’s behavior across a retailer’s channels to provide increasingly relevant recommendations.

Stripe takes that experience through to checkout, supporting multiple payment methods—including Link by Stripe, used by 250 million customers—directly within Constructor’s agents. With many Link customers already primed for agentic shopping—80% used a chat-based agent in the past month, and half use AI for shopping research at least monthly—retailers can capitalize on changing shopping habits; offer fast, secure, frictionless checkout at the moment purchase intent is highest; and turn AI-assisted discovery into sales.

Together, Constructor and Stripe enable shoppers to:

  • Discover: Through Constructor’s agents, shoppers on retail sites can ask broad, need-based questions—from “What should I wear to an outdoor fall wedding?” to “Can you help me plan quick, healthy dinners for my family this week?”—and receive personalized, in-stock recommendations.
  • Decide: As they narrow their choices, shoppers can ask product-specific questions—such as “Does this dress run true to size?” or “Are these tortillas gluten-free?”—and get the information they need to make a decision.
  • Buy: Once they’re ready to purchase, shoppers can check out and pay quickly and securely with Stripe, directly within the agent experience and without needing to leave their flow.

Bringing Agentic Checkout to Retailers

Agentic Checkout is already available within Constructor’s AI Shopping Agent (ASA)—which lets shoppers describe what they need in natural language and get guidance based on their context, history and intent—and AI Product Insights Agent (PIA), which answers product-specific questions directly on product detail pages. Agentic Checkout will expand to more touchpoints throughout retailers’ digital properties later this year.

For retailers already using Constructor’s shopping agents, adding Stripe-powered checkout is quick and easy: They simply update Constructor’s UI library and add their Stripe credentials to its configuration. Retailers and brands around the world already use both Constructor and Stripe, giving them a new opportunity to connect the two platforms and bring Agentic Checkout to their shoppers. And for retailers that don’t already use Stripe, it’s simple to enable Stripe-powered Agentic Checkout without changing their existing payment setup elsewhere.

As retailers prioritize AI that can deliver measurable business value, adoption of Constructor’s AI agents is accelerating: Over the past year, the number of companies deploying them has increased 900%.

“The promise of agentic commerce is that a shopper can express what they need and AI can help them every step of the way, making every part of the journey easier, more helpful, and more enjoyable,” said Eli Finkelshteyn, CEO and co-founder of Constructor. “Delivering on that promise requires best-in-class discovery and then best-in-class checkout. Constructor has spent years focused on improving the discovery experience and helping shoppers find the right products, while Stripe has built world-class payments infrastructure that helps shoppers buy those products easily and securely. Together, we’re making agentic shopping more complete for consumers and more valuable for retailers.”
