Brief history

Tray.ai was founded in London in 2012 by Rich Waldron, Alistair Russell, and Dominic Lewis. Initially, the company’s product was a consumer-focused tool for aggregating personal data from various online services. After participating in the AngelPad accelerator, the founders recognized a much larger opportunity in the B2B market and pivoted the company around 2015 to focus on enterprise automation and integration. This pivot led to the creation of the low-code General Automation Platform. The company has since raised significant venture capital funding from investors including Spark Capital, GGV Capital, Meritech Capital, and True Ventures to fuel its growth and expand its enterprise focus.
