LiveRamp is a data collaboration platform that enables companies to better connect, control, and activate their data to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business outcomes. Its key differentiator is its neutral, privacy-first identity framework that allows for the secure unification of first-party and third-party data into a durable, pseudonymous identifier (RampID) for use across the advertising ecosystem.

- Identity Resolution: Connects disparate online and offline data points from CRM, web, mobile, and third-party sources to a single, privacy-safe, person-based identifier called RampID.
- Data Collaboration & Clean Rooms: Provides a secure environment (Safe Haven) for companies to collaborate with partners on datasets without sharing raw personally identifiable information (PII), enabling insights and audience building while maintaining data privacy.

Brief history
LiveRamp was originally founded as Rapleaf in 2011 by Auren Hoffman, Manish Shah, and Travis May. The company pivoted its business model to focus on data onboarding and was acquired by data marketing giant Acxiom in 2014 for approximately $310 million. Operating as “LiveRamp, an Acxiom Company,” it quickly became the core growth engine of its parent company. In 2018, Acxiom sold its Acxiom Marketing Solutions (AMS) division to Interpublic Group (IPG) and subsequently renamed the remaining public company LiveRamp Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: RAMP), establishing LiveRamp as a neutral and independent data connectivity provider.
