The AI Capability Framework, or Master Stack, is a four-tier model created by Greg Kihlström that separates what AI does (pillars) from the conditions it requires (layers), the external pressures that bound it (forces), and the strategic aim it serves (goals). Read top to bottom, the stack forms a single sentence — why, what AI does, what that requires, and within what limits — giving leaders a precise vocabulary to budget, govern, assign, and measure AI once the word “AI” itself fades into assumed infrastructure.
